My creative space

New recycled wool felt acorn decorations in the making.
I thought this morning that it would be fun to share with you a few snapshots of my office/studio. I am super lucky here at the Crafty Squirrel headquarters to have two working spaces. These photos are in my office studio which is attached to the back of the shop.

It's where I do all my computer stuff and most of my sewing (sometimes though the sewing machine goes into the house so I can sew and supervise children!). I also make lots of cards and assemble other products that I sell in the shop or wholesale to other retailers around Australia and New Zealand in this space. It is lovely and warm with fantastic lighting and as you can see from these photos - I am surrounded by lot's of little bits and bobs I have collected in my travels which I find very inspiring.

Cute little house shelves from Lark of course...
I am a shocking hoarder of craft materials I must admit and I also have another small room off the shop that is filled with shop stock and products ready to be sent out to other retailers but it is also filled with my craft stash! You just never know when something might come in handy for a new product!

I am also lucky enough to have a big working studio shed out in the garden where I make my scarves and blankets from recycled woollen jumpers and work on other bigger projects. This space is also filled with all my market props and a massive amount of felted jumpers and woollen blankets and tubs of fabric and well you name it...it is a bit of a dumping ground really for all the 'not so pretty to look at' stuff. Still I am thankful for this additional space for without it I could not do what I do!

Today I am working on a new product - dear to a crafty squirrels heart....recycled wool felt acorn decorations...stay tuned as they will soon be available to decorate your creative spaces too!
